The Cougars rally to take Game 2 of our conference doubleheader vs Roxbury yesterday, giving us a 2-1 season series win. Matt Drobiak had a standout day, hitting his first HR of the season in Game 1, and collecting his second win of the season on the bump in Game 2. We are back in action tomorrow for a non-conference tilt vs Landmark College, 3:30pm start at home. The 2nd Annual HCC Alumni Game is once again a success. The alumni take down the current team 8-2 behind a solid CG pitching performance from Coach Magni, and a big day at the plate from the alumni team as a whole. Looking forward to carrying the progress the current team has made this fall into the spring season. ANNOUNCEMENT : The HCC Baseball Team will be hosting our first annual golf tournament fundraiser Saturday, October 26th at Chicopee Country Club. 12:30pm shot gun start, registration starts at 11:30am. $120/player $480/foursome. Price will include green fees, cart, dinner after the round, and a couple tickets to the raffle during dinner. Congratulations to sophomore captain Travis Kagan ( @traviskagan ) on being selected to the First Team All Region squad for Region 21. A well deserved accomplishment as he has been a pillar of consistency for the cougars, hitting over .400 for his second consecutive season. Everyone in the program is wishing him nothing but success at the next level. The Cougars maul the Bulldogs in the Battle of Bunker Hill yesterday. TJ Thibeault ( @tj.thibeault ) goes the distance with a 9 inning CG and 140 pitches, while recording 5 Ks. The Cougars get multi hit performances from Travis Kagan ( @traviskagan ), Leyron Perez ( @vleyron ), Nate Serrano ( @413_nate ), and a 4 hit 5 RBI game from captain Dan Gauvin ( @daniel_gauvin7 ). Colin Consedine ( ccons9_ ) chipped in with a 2 RBI day. The Cougars ship right back up to Boston today for a matchup with Roxbury CC at 6pm.
